After many years I’m just getting back into chess. Can anyone recommend a good book on chess puzzles or a good online puzzle source for a beginner to intermediate player. I’m really very rusty.

Well! I guess you can start exploring puzzles here at chess.com only and try some games with bots, moving to a higher level as you gain hold of one.
Besides, I found this article on chess.com blog talking about books that might match your requirements: https://www.chess.com/blog/joelcato/chess-books-intermediate-exercise-books

Good luck on the refresher path!

Mr. Bell thank you so much for this information. It is most helpful and I have already ordered 2 of these books to get me back in the game. I’m also exploring the Forum and have tried some puzzles.

Solving puzzles will improve your game is an illusion. It's the strategy, playing, and endgames that improve your game.

Solving puzzles can be a beneficial learning activity as long as one understands the conceptual reason for every move made in the process of solving the puzzle, whether offensive or defensive. One should ask and be able to answer what is the point, the idea, behind each move made in correctly solving the puzzle. That is, to be able to articulate what part the move played in solving the puzzle.

Bottom line: on every move ask and answer - Why?
