"Practice" app for Android?

Howdy folks,
Can anyone recommend a "practice" app for android that will allow me to follow along when reading books?
I just want something that looks good on a tablet, has a board with coordinates, and lets me move the pieces any way I like to set up different positions. I've downloaded several different apps and can't seem to find the right one.
