e-book in CB format
Ah Mr. Reinfeld. The vast majority of his books appeal and sell to beginners and non-serious (vs. organized otb etc.) players, and they aren't particular about notations as they know no better. Plenty of beginners, so plenty of sales of his disposable works in descriptive.
He has some nice books though, and when the first US rating lists came out in the 1950s Mr. Reinfeld was #3-#4, after Reshevsky and Fine (and Dake as I recall but Dake may have been #4--I'd have to dig up the list to be sure). So, he deserves more than a dismissal.

Does anyone here know why Reinfeld's classic tactical workbook "1001 Winning Chess Sacrifices and Combinations" has never been updated to algebraic notation?
Many other chess books that are also considered classics have undergone such treatment, some of them getting new computer-based analysis (which Reinfeld's work could use as well). However, the Reinfeld book that many players still recommend to those who want to improve their tactics has never gotten the algebraic update.
Come to think of it, though I'm not a fan of Reinfeld in general, I have noticed that most (if not all) of his books are still in the old-school descriptive notation. I'm glad I can read both algebraic and descriptive, but it seems strange to me that of all things, Reinfeld's classic tactical work would not have been updated.
