Replacement chess sets for SquareOff Electronic chessboards

I wanted to open the discussion for options to replace the factory chess set that comes with the SquareOff electronic chessboards.

The default set is boxwood+stained Staunton-style pieces.

Their limited edition set had the bleached boxwood+ebonized pieces.

I even saw videos and pictures of boxwood+stained Zagreb-style pieces, but they were part of an earlier batch of limited edition releases, possibly a Kickstarter stretch goal.

I've contacted SquareOff, but I was not able to avail any of their sets separately, especially the limited editions.

Has anyone tried replacing their pieces with other wooden chess sets while maintaining the reliability and functionality of the robotic chessboard?

I wish the Zagreb pieces were standard. Right now I have a goal to improve first before I buy a set. If they were Zagreb pieces I'd buy now! 

i am interesting to buy this kind of zagreb pieces , but i don't find . if somebody know where we can buy , i will buy it too

Someone asked on their kickstarter if they can replace the pieces. They responded that it is possible, BUT you have to match the magnet on the bottom, the weight of the pieces(too heavy damages the robotics) and the width of the pieces(so they can slide next to each other without knocking into each other). 

Squaresoft does sell extra sets, but they are based in India and manufacture in China, and thanks to both COVID-19 and the Chinese and Indian soldiers throwing rocks at each other, they are in the middle of moving all their manufacturing to India, so I doubt anything will be available soon.

let to see ,  as i don't find an original chess pieces for my square off , i did them , let me know what do you thing about my chess set pieces

it could be an alternative at the original pieces of the square off 

I think those pieces are ugly.

you say that, because the pieces not polish yet , or you don't like  the shape of them ? 

They are wonderful. Don't be discouraged by grumpy trolls (maybe an idea for another chess set!).

Do you sell the pieces? ange-seth?

Hello all, I own a grand kingdom and bought another on facebook for a friend so we could play. When it showed up it had no charger or pieces. I found a charger, but does anyone know of a decent off the shelf option for replacement pieces? Square Off isn’t offering them right now. Thanks!
