Glue the felt onm yourself already. Man up!

I got a set for 350 euro there was an error with one chess piece and was also told to fix it myself if i could, was hoping they could replace it at first, but i did a good job and it worked out well, still i am a bit worried about how the 3 year guarantee will go, if they ever stop making the sets there are no replacements this goes for every seller ,the chess set is realy nice all the same and the chess board is 100% ok, i will still buy an other set or two from them i just hope if the error was bigger and could not be fixed they would of replace the piece ,customer support was helpfull but in saying that i resolved the error myself.

Will just add it was this post that made me go to royal chess mall i was going to buy from chessbazaar and had a chess set in the shopping basket but after reading the other post about chessbazaar i decided royal chess mall was a better choice,

Well, I have purhased somewhat from Royal Chess Mall in the past and the experience has been consistently good to great. In my experience their customer service has been prompt and courteous. I have received replies and answers from their support team on email. It was not immediate but they did mostly respond within a day.
However you can also get in touch with their team on whatsapp . Not sure if this is the right place to share the details so you can find it on their website. Have purchased their staunton chess set which was beautifully finished, had a good balance and fine craftsmanship.

Recently got a higher priced chess set from the same company by the name of Aristocrat Chess. I purchased this because I did not find any other company making a set by the same design. Also It was reasonably priced i.m.o with their discounts and all.

I was suprised to see such fine and delicate craftsmanship. It is not very ornate but still has the elegance of a high end set.
Also got a pouch bag which was a good plus.

Regarding the felt, the lower end set may not be having a 100% smooth cut. It did not bother me then and I am mostly satisfied with them.
One of the pieces broke while playing so I bought a new one from them ( I paid for it).

Seems like the extremely poor level of customer service is still ongoing judging by recent review (excluding the evidently fake ones). I've already posted in the past about them and hoped that they'd learn and improve their practices but they are still providing poorly made pieces but still charging premium prices.

One of the pieces dislodged from where glued as the surfaces were uneven to begin with, I noticed from my previous post but it's even more apparent now that I've tried to fit the piece back together again.

I definitely won't be buying any products from RCM again and I urge others to seriously consider their options. There's a lot of fake comments here but more than enough unhappy customers to prove that it's not worth risking it, especially when you are planning on paying premium.

I have purchased two sets from RCM and both times I’ve been impressed.

Sorry, but you're just pathetic.

Friendly advice - AVOID random Indian Vendors and stick to House of Staunton, Staunton Castle and Niggemann Schach.

I've purchased a couple of sets from Royal Chess Mall. They seem to produce nice sets for a very low price. While I'm sure House of Staunton's pieces are slightly better quality, and there may be things that HOS does better to increase the longevity of the chess pieces, I find Royal Chess Mall, and some of the other Indian companies that sell via Ebay, perfectly good quality.

My Customized 4.0” KH Unweighted 1849 Jacques Reproduction Staunton Chess set (in rosewood & boxwood from AntiqueChessCrafts) just arrived 👌🏻

Rosewood?

This is a RCM thread, so is there a relationship with ACC? It just seems a little odd with a series of ACC posts in an RCM thread. I see that both are on the same street very close to each other. So is ACC a partner of RCM, or a competitor?

That´s a relevant question.

I had a TERRIBLE experience with Royal Chess Mall. I bought a chess piece case that arrived smelling like kerosene. RCM blew me off by telling me the smell will go away in a few days. It didn’t. It wasn’t until I posted my complaint here that they issued a refund. While I did get a full refund I cannot recommend them to you. They gave me the impression that they are more interested in taking your money than providing a decent product.

At first glance, it seems that ACC may not have as large of a selection as RCM. But if you like ACC, maybe go ahead and start a new thread on them so people can share and comment on ACC's products and experiences.

As far as my experience with RCM, I've made three purchases from them. One item was defective, which they paid for the return (to a US address) and gave me a full refund. The other two items are great. So far, I've been happy with RCM.

Sounds like it's pretty hit and miss. My best set purchased was from RCM. It wasn't perfect but it's pretty close and as far as i know its exclusive to them. It's the one I keep going back to. The other one i bought wasnt faulty, it just wasnt particularly nice and is a regretful purchase. One chess board was OK, the other not so much but in there defence they did offer me a store credit and now it's one I've donated to my son's chessclub.

Ultimately my thoughts were they were OK for the price. Especially when you factor in postage. I've since bought nicer boards but they cost 3 times as much.

I’ve just ordered three teams of chess pieces from the company. They are Jacques Staunton 1849, Craftsman Staunton and Fischer Spassky 1972 Rejkjavik. I’m looking forward to seeing them and I really regret choosing the standart free post, which takes longer tüme to deliver. I should have paid more and ordered DHL express. Now I have to wait. Hope to share their pictures under this thread when they come.

I have bought several chess sets from royalchessmall. The quality of the pieces are excellent and look amazing! My sets arrived in less than a week. They also have a solid guarantee against defects. As a customer, they have earned my respect and confidence and I will buy more sets from royalchessmall. I'll also say that Sid is awesome and he's very responsive to all communication between the customer and the company. 👍

Just don’t let them screw you over like they tried with me. I received a package that had the strong smell of gasoline. They tried to avoid giving me a refund but I pushed them for that. I’ll never buy from them again.

Just watch out for Royal Chess Mall's shady tactics. The order I received from them had such a strong odor of gasoline that I had to throw it out. They tried to blow me off by telling me the smell would go away in a few days (it didn't). Then they didn't want to refund me. I pushed the issue and they finally relented, but they didn't want to. I'll never buy from them again.

Plastic is the way to go. A superior material to wood.
