Depends on whether you would want to play 2...Nf6, 3...Qa5, 3...Qd6, or something else like 3...Qd8.

Houska seems to make sense as a starting point.

The Houska, Emms, and Kasparov books have chapters on each of these moves. Kasparov recommends 3...Qd6.

The Wahls book covers themes, plans, and pawn structures for 3...Qa5.

Bauer's book is a repertoire book that is based on 3...Qa5.

The Lakadawala book and the Martin videos (as well as Melts' books, obviously) are based on 3...Qd6.

Smerdon is based on 2...Nf6.

Lowinger is obviously based on 3...Qd8.

Don't know anything about Plaskett's book or Martin's book. (If I mistaked above about what each book covers, my bad)

This thread has extensive discussion of the different variations of the Scandinavian, beginning at post #27....

even i had a book published on the Scandinavian [i called it the Center Counter] but it sold out and as this was one of the first books published on this opening--some of the theory is out of date.

Plaskeett's book seems to be in the same category as Houska's with general coverage. Martin's Essential book seems to be about 3...Qa5.

u forgot this one which is awesome :

https://www.amazon.com/First-Chess-Opening-Repertoire-Ready/dp/9056917463

Moret just uses the same paths that Smerdon, with Portuguese variation.

Some may argue that this variation might be refuted.

Well not sure, some titled players still play it and it is very educational for your level.

Morevover, this is a repertoire book for black, which gives scandinavian 2...Nf6 on 1.e4, and Albin counter gambit on 1.d4 (if white is not ok for entering it, then he advocates Dutch Stonewall).

This i an ideal book to learn these openings, very easy to learn and understand.

My opinion is the Albin Counter Gambit is a bad opening for Black.

Vincent Moret's repertoire for Black book is not yet available (on Amazon) in the USA.  Its scheduled to be available here in October 2017.  On the other hand, his repertoire for White book is excellent.  See my (RLBell) review of it on Amazon...

https://www.amazon.com/First-Chess-Opening-Repertoire-White/dp/9056916335/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1499777485&sr=1-1&keywords=my+first+chess+opening+repertoire+for+white

I would be very interested to check out the Black repertoire book.  In fact I have it on order.  Judging from the care he put into the White repertoire book I suspect the lines he recommends in the new book will interesting, dynamic and playable...

i guess GM and other strong players playing it don't care about your opinion.

It is good to have an opinion, but please, could u enlighten us why it is bad for you?

Furthermore, Moret's repertoire is not to play world championship, it is a practical repertoire, than can be played to low level up to 2200 and more.

It does not matter if some strong players play a certain opening or not.

What matters is the truth regarding is the opening good or bad based on good play on both sides.

I played the White side of the Albin Counter Gambit vs a strong internet team [their top player was rated 2498 at the time and he had plenty of strong master help] and won. [the game took about a year]

Also more recently i played the White side of the Albin Counter Gambit vs a strong player here on chess.com and won.

So i am entitled to my opinion regarding the Albin Counter Gambit.Smile

by the way i claim some credit for the popularity of the Scandinavian per a book i wrote and had published about 1990 which was before these other books came out.

Also, after i scored 4 wins out of 4 games with Black using the Scandinavian/Center Counter in the Finals of the 7th United States Correspondence Chess Championship--this caught the attention of many players and helped to popularize that opening.
