About 1600 on this site okay then I would suggest for you to be studying tactics and more tactics with some endgame practice. Now to answer your question, blatantly there is no point in switching from edition 3 to edition 4 hardly anything changes between versions, what a better use of your money would be to buy another book with new content or go participate in some otb tournies both of which are infinitely more effective.

1. There were many revisions from the 3rd Ed. to the 4th. Ed. I get the 4th.
2. Study tactics
3. Study rook and pawn endings (they will acocunt for roughtly 80% of your endgames)
4. Study and LEARN the Lucena, and Philidor positions.
5. Combine positional study with tactics, that way you get the best of both chess worlds.
