Shredder output data

Hi

Can someone  point me to any helpful material that explains the data that shredder displays below it’s chess board ?

I have read the user manual and it isn’t very clear about various details

Extract below;-

Analysis window

You can use the ‘+’ und ‘-‘ buttons to switch between more and less engine output.

In the analysis window information about the engine's search process will be displayed. In every line

you see the following data:

search depth

time

evaluation

best line so far

number of evaluated positions

number of the evaluated positions per second

I guess the output data is standard data that many chess engines provide to a GUI ?

Is that correct ?

I need to understand that data quite well in order to learn for it.

Also

Can some one explain what is happening when shredder “builds the histograph “ ?

What is it doing when it loops back through the moves several times ?

Why does it slow down after a few loops ?

Many thanks

Many thanks.

Can you, or someone else, point me towards some written material on the web that explained the details of the data & structure of such items ? i.e. outputs from chess engines, how the data is presented by most chess GUI's ?

I'm a chess player, but I have no experience of chess software or chess engines.

I need a good understanding of the data as displayed by equipment such as shredder.

Again - thanks for the help - can you point me towards more such information ?
