whew!!! A huge opening. Where your ability is makes a difference. There is everything from the starting out series to everyman najdorf books. Anti-sicilians, dragon, najdorf, sveshnikov, svenigen, kan, taiminov. All excellent opening sicilian.

You can even get a deck of cards that are mostly sicilian for about 5 bucks on amazon which show (for the beginner) what sicilian is what in the first 6 moves or so.

Need more info.

check out the review at amazon where you can look inside the book  or silmans blog both are good.

Looks like a good start covering all of the sicilians.

The "Dangerous Weapons" series is basically a collection of glorified novelties.  That's not so to say they're bad, sometime they're awesome, but sometimes they're just strange.  I would suggest a "Starting Out" book.

The sicilian is so huge I think the choice is an excellent one in learning the opening and where you can go afterwords. There's many choices in the sicilian and choosing which line you'd like to play is important. Do you learn the Taimanov, the schvenigen, the najdorf, the dragon, all important but as black you might want to specialize in one or two. This dangerous weapons book prepares you for which lines too choose and whats available.

Emms is also very good. Have one of his opening repitorie books.

Thats why i chose this book , its not focused on one variation it shows the sicilian in general and after i will finish to read the book  i will focused on one or two variation i liked

thanks for the comments

I'm on the repitoire one now. Trying to learn a little najdorf. Very good book but if you want to know the dragon or some other sicilians its not recommended as his main point is the najdorf with some others such as closed sicilian and c3.

Trying something different from the shvesnikov which is troubling because king seems to stay in the center often which to me is unorthodox.

why to buy books when you can find more than you can handle on line?

I would stay away from "Dangerous Weapons" for now. Full of interesting side lines but you should really get the basics down first. Once you are familiar with the various Sicilian complexes then I would start delving into odd lines. Starting out series will give you a good foundation to build on.
