Could be the DGT 960. Is really small.
smallest chess clock?

You can download here various chess clocks for you mobile. If your mobile is small then you will carry a small chess clock everywhere you go!
Using your phone as a chess clock is not practical or convenient on any kind of a regular basis. Also a DGT 960 is usually under $40, which is is a cheap way to avoid having your phone beat on.
The DGT 960 is the smallest. I own one and use it with a 1.875" board and 2.875" King library or analysis set in cafes and restaurants.
The DGT 960 folds up and can fit in a shirt pocket.

And what do you do if your phone rings?
Also I notice that the players are careful in touching the screen with one finger. With an actual Chess clock, the buttons do not need that delicate of a touch.
I'm sorry, but for a little under $40 the DGT 960 works fine.
It is not a piece of junk. I have owned one for over 4 years and it works just fine.
The opening poster asked for the smallest sized Chess clock. Well, the DGT 960 is the smallest sized Chess clock.

Alright, then if you have your phone on Airplane mode you still can be called by others, you just will not receive those calls. I need to be able to receive calls when playing casual chess, as I would with this clock. So, not being able to receive phone calls just doesn't work.
My friend, there are other problems with using a phone as a Chess clock. You seemed to overlook my comment about needing to be careful how you touch the screen instead of just pushing a button on a regular Chess clock.
And the face of the phone is facing straight up. That makes it hard to see the time display. We play blitz, you know 5 minute games. And we want to see the time right away when we look at the clock. If you have the phone on a stand and at an angle, then you would have to touch the screen sideways.
A Chess clock makes for a much better playing experience. The display is at an angle to easily see it from your seat at the board. The buttons are horizontal so you simply reach over and tap yours in a normal, downward motion with one or more fingers. And as I said earlier you don't have to be dainty with your touch. Look at that video again and look at how they are gingerly touching the screen.
I have chess clocks apps on my phone and tablet. And in a pinch I have used the app, but no more than 2 times in 7 or 8 years. It isn't best.
And the cost of a phone isn't normally cheap, at least not under $40. I don't want my phone punched on or possibly being knocked off the table because of casual, blitz play.
