Nice! I love Starbucks. I would buy this board just to have. Btw, I use silicone chess pieces for analysis when I need an extra board next to my main one. Silicone is awesome. I can just empty the bag of pieces on the table without worrying about damaging them.
Starbucks Coffee silicone chess set in the morning

Your pictures make this set look like a very nice set
Interesting variant but I think I'm not gonna try it with my girl as I don't have a hospital close to my home!

Isn't there some variation between the knights? I dunno, they somehow seem different from each other...

Woah, friends don’t let friends do Starbucks. You need to give that away to a fledgling novice, pronto. 😊 nice touch seriously. And playing with the young one while waiting for the school bus is a bonus. Never take those moments for granted, they become memories.

How did you get that? My mom doesn't play chess but she wants that board.
Starbucks stopped selling this board years and years ago. You might want to check eBay. They show up once in a while. Good luck!

i love this forum so much T.T i had this board before, would definately check up on it now! this forum seriously gives such lovely vibes..

Starbucks Coffee silicone chess set in the morning
This chess set has been packed away unused for almost 10 years. I took it out this morning for a quick game with my kid before the school bus arrived. The silicone board amazingly plopped out onto the table completely flat instantaneously after all those years. I realize, silicone chess is not everyone's cup of tea. But it does have it's advantages.
My son got a kick out of the rubbery bendy pieces. He loves them! We invented a new chess variant: Upon capturing a piece, you get to throw the piece at your opponent. LOL
Silicone board 1-7/8" (48mm) squares. 16-1/4" overall size.
King wt. 0.95oz; 3.5" height, 1.5" base.
Silicone set wt. 18.2oz (32 pieces)
The 3.5" silicone pieces can be found for about $20. The slightly undersized silicone board may be a bit more difficult to find by itself.
