Its a good book but maybe it is beyond your level.
The Art of Attack

Agree that people learn best in different ways and that simply reading chess books - however much fun that may be - is unlikely to lead to significant improvement without "putting the work in".
SF mentioned iPad books. What would be really nice is a way to get chess positions out of plain (not interactive) e-books by e.g. tapping on the diagram. Mobile devices are powerful enough to do that quite easily now, but the infrastructure isn't there - at least not in the iPad yet. One would need a built-in way to invoke the board recognition & chess app while running the ebook app, so that it could take a shot of the screen and know where the user had tapped. One day, in iOS 7 perhaps.
Has anyone read through the classic book, "The Art of Attack" by Vladimir Vukovic? This book was recommended by IM Silman in his article he wrote quite awhile ago, "creating a study plan". I am trying to go through this book currently and came to realize that it is an extremely tedious task! (Chess books are probably one of the most difficult to comprehend.)
