The Chess Empire's new offering.

These two sets are named the Ulbrich series chess set. They have a resemblance to the scammed Regium electronic chessboard pieces. They are designed with familiar-looking modern pieces.

The material of both sets is red and white lacquered pieces and Sheesham and boxwood pieces.

Nicely turned and finished. This is my first purchase from the Chess Empire and they came through rather nicely. I will definitely purchase more items from them soon. I'm planning to upgrade my rooks and pawns to a beefier looking body stature to match the knight, bishop, Queen and King pieces and make this set look extremely formidable on the chessboard.

Some images for your enjoyment.

Very nice indeed.

The finish on the red and white set is beautiful. It doesn't look like wood. It almost looks like porcelain.

Love the red and white gloss.

Nicely designed set. I actually prefer the natural wood version, although maybe with a more traditional board.

What's the stability like?

P. S. I disavow the knight of course. Interesting, but not mine.

I assume that chessbazaar has your permission to make and sell the BCE design?

The Exotique x Camaratta Collection at HoS is a better design. This knight in particular doesn't fit the set at all. https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-equipment/the-exotique-x-camaratta-collection

Wow! The CE upcharge for Padauk or Ebony (from Sheesham or red/white lacquer) doubles the price from $175 to $350. Ouch, that stings!

I have been looking for this Regium Deluxe set for months.  Thanks for the info.  And as far as the rooks and pawns go, beefier is not necessarily better.  This whole set looks amazing together.

I'm waiting for Black and White pieces. I don't like Red. The Knight is best looking piece
