The Gazebo Table

Just finished, this is what we'll use in our family gazebo. Low budget, nothing fancy. A rough old table, a little spray-on red paint, a dozen coats of shellac finish and a little elbow grease.

I say it looks good on the first sunny day of the year.

I walked by a game in the park today. Spring is coming.

Very cool. Looks outstanding. I like the chess set also. Now you've got me thinking of making a table for poolside.

Yep, looks very fine!
Is the distance from the table edge larger on the white side than it is on the black side? For the convenience of children perhaps?

No, it's smack in the middle. The photos are doing optical tricks, I suppose ...

Very nice...Do you have a specific name for the name of the design the chess pieces are, or did you make those as well? They look very elegant and modern.

Beautiful pieces. I'm arranging to have an (indoor) chess table built, and based on an existing set of pieces I have it'll be 2.5" squares or slightly smaller. I think this set might be too small for that. Hmm. I wonder, what chance a larger size?

Nice to see something made rather than bought for a change.

Quite right. And from someting existing to boot, not new materials. Re-purposed, multi-purposed, etc.

It would be an honor. I'll get in touch as soon as the weather returns back to spring mode. :)
