The Simpsons Chess Set 1998

So today the board and pieces finally came in the mail. I havent even arrived at home and I had to have a look at the pieces. They are heavier than I expected and also very smooth to move around with great balance. Homer is the King and Marge the Queen of the board. Bart is the bishop and Krusty the clown is the horse. Lisa is the rook and Maggie is hanging onto the pawns. Its an amazing chess set for a Simpsons Fan as i am. Growing up in the 90s this was one of my favourite shows to watch on televison. The set was first released back in 1988 with same pieces but a different board. In 1998 they released a new version with solid colors on the board to make it easier to see the pieces.  I Will post more pictures later and write some more from my experience with the marvelouse chess set.
