Those who’ve already received the Square Off SWAP - how is it?

I’ve heard recently that some backers in the USA have already received their SWAP, so, if you are one of those people, what’s it like? Is it worth it? I was going to get a chessnut air until I heard some already got the SWAP. Does it compare? Thanks!

I recommend waiting and just getting the Chessnut Pro. It's tournament sized and made from wood. It's like a upgraded version of the Chessnut Air. But costs about $550. Anyways, I don't recommend Square Off Swap simply because I heard people who got the Square OFF Kingdom set before and had complained that it wasn't very durable and malfunctioned in a few months. So, I suspect it's probably going to be an issue with Square Off Swap too. Furthermore, it's better for you to make the moves yourself as not only can you do it faster, but you will have less moveing parts to worry about malfunctioning over time.

OK, thanks! I just can’t wait for the Chessnut pro. It’s very exciting! I might just get the Chessnut air and then later get the compatible wooden pieces as it’s easier to transport

Your welcome. I really like that they also offer the chips for their Chessnut Air seperately. So, you can buy the chips and implant them under your custom chess pieces if you wish to do so. The only other chess computer manufacturer who does this to my knowledge is certabo. But their chess computers are more expensive. However, they do accept custom designs for their board which they print to their birchwooden boards, and they also offer the source code of the software to certabo users for editing their software program to create customized ones by the user. I am not a fan of printed boards tho so I ended up buying their Fazio White series chess computer. But price wise, Chessnut has them beat, just less customization options when it comes to the board. Anyways, did you hear about the Ichessone? It looks promising and they claim it to be the world's first foldable chess computer. I don't think it's been released yet but probably worth looking into.

I just got my Kickstarter neo. It is very nice , moves the pieces silently and faster than my grand kingdom which still works fine it was an early production model. The Kickstarter Neos have a built in battery as well. Current Neos don't have one
