Hello,
I purchased on December 26th a chess set from the German shop Topschach.
To date the set has not yet been shipped (see the attached image, "In Bearbeitung" means in progress).
I tried to write a lot of emails and wathsapp messages but it didn't help.
On February 5th they replied to me saying that the set would be shipped in the following days.
Then I didn't know anything.
Do any of you know that shop? It is reliable?
I have bought in other web stores such as Schach Niggemann or scacco.it and I have never had problems of this type.

Thank you very much for the informations.
After your message, I did some research and I discovered that the chess set I "bought" for some time is no longer on the market. No sellers has that set anymore.
I "bought" something that doesn't exist.

Not a reliable shop, as they don't have the items in stock, even though the site shows they are. To be fair, the owner replied (with a slight delay of 2-3 days) to all my emails and they refunded promptly when asked. I wouldn't recommend it, from all the German shops it would be the last option.

I advice everybody to avoid this site. I made an order 8 months ago and still no products. Sent many emails and no answer.Then two months ago I remembered I payed by paypal so they  helped and now topschach had to respond and said they would send the products.They gave me a tracking number but nothing happened. I could no longer complain further to paypal for some reason . Now I contacted my bank and they helped me get the money back.

Checking Trustpilot before buying is often useful...

My last personal experience with this online seller here. I got a refund thanks to Paypal. To be fair I had a very good buyer experience in 2018, but that was time ago...

What are good chess stores based in Germany and Austria? Need some clocks and books.

I bought a DTG Bluetooth Wenge Board with Ebony pieces on 11/04/2022.

Delivered today, after (germany) 7 working days. For sure you cant expect Amazon Prime speed, but you have to taken one MAJOR point into consideration: the PRICE. I got this board for 25% LESS compared to other german resellers. So, i am very happy with my order, happy with Topschach.

(and for sure, after 3 days i checked the status, got clear information via whatsappp).

Clear recommendation by me.

How do you like the contrast of the wenge board with the ebony [EDIT] pieces?

I can almost see it myself. Can you post a pic? You’re making me want the ebony pieces as well…

You cannot take Topschach seriously. The website is a disaster, and totally outdated. The guy is listing items he hasn't had in stock for YEARS! The person who runs this homepage is doing it part-time, and he's not a professional. 

@Salzherzz got lucky with his order, but that's an isolated case. In 90%+ the items aren't there, the communication is frustrating and achingly slow, the shop is just totally unreliable. There are many better alternatives in Germany. Run by people who take their business seriously.

For me, it was a good experience. But, for sure, its my single case.
