100 unusual antique chess sets

The picture above is of the cabinet inside the foyer of the Simpsons in the Strand club showing the wrong rook in their set. Incidentally Gareth Williams bought a complete set from Garick Coleman many years ago, it is shown in his book 'Masterpieces' (available through Amazon no doubt) but there is a question about the knights being mismatched in that set. These sets were AFAIK only used in the club and of course the pieces were mixed and matched without thought to parentage during the course of normal club play or after visiting celebrity players has played several games at once with the boards all next to each other and the taken pieces put wherever they would fit.
