This book has a few rave reviews on Amazon, but I cannot find any other reviews. Has anyone got any opinions on the usefulness of this book to an average club player please ?

Thanks KingsEye, chess cafe is a good source for reviews but I hadn't seen that one.

I read it. It was an ok read, but honestly I can't say it helped me at all. It's the kind of book that's fun to pick up if you have an interest in chess pedagogy but I'm not sure that it really is the kind of book that will help anyone improve.

Thanks for the response Kingpatzer. Decided not to invest the time in this book based on that, or at least it won't be my next book. And now I know what "pedagogy" means

It's an honest workbook for intermediate players and up (1700+).

Don't expect miracles from it, but it has good tips and good examples.
