I would guess the square size is either 50 mm to 55 mm with the King at 95 mm. If you don't mind the tapered Rooks. Royal Chess Mall has a really good modern French Lardy. I have it in Ebonized Boxwood version.
What size is this chess set ?

Any one else have any idea of the size of this chess set? I mean please be more specific I can guess that this set square is probably no less then 2 inches and no more then 2.25 inches but I would like more specific answer please. What do you think the square size of this chess set if we assume pieces should be 3.75 inches.

Thank you I know this chess pieces I was just wondering if there's anymore options on French lardy specifically.

Also do you think this chess set is to crowded or just right?
It seems to be at the extent of being too crowded but it is just within the margin of fitting. I wouldn't put a bigger set than that on that board.
I would guess it's a 3.75" set on a 50 mm board. Look a bit too crowded for me, but that is highly personal.
I have a 3.5" set for my 50 mm, which I think looks perfect (final two pictures). I also think a 50 mm board size is a perfect for home use--55 mm (or even 2-1/4" = 57 mm) is a bit overwhelming to me (though I might get used to it).
1. Chess board - dimensions,square size
2. Chess pieces - size
If I'm not mistaken those pieces french lardy syle, do you know where to buy those? With similar "looks" - tall pawns, robust rooks without fragile crowns on top, king cross nice and flat and extremely durable, knights "skinny" easy to hold and similar style to a traditional plastic chess sets.
