Hi Minttunator, Thanks very much for your reply. I enjoyed playing through that game. However it's not the one I'm looking for. I later realised that the game I saw was in the 1st edition of "Play winning chess" and is not in the later editions. It involves a queen, bishop and rook sacrifice in order to block the black queen back up against the king, if my memory is right. Thanks again for the reply
Can anyone help with this one please? I no longer have my book "Play winning chess" which is book 1 by yasser Seirawin but in the first few pages there is a run-through of a brilliant game involving 2 or maybe 3 sacrifices. Does anyone know this game? I would love to go over it again. If you have the book or know the game I am referring to I would be very grateful. Many thanks. rb
