Your most used chess set

Believe it or not, this one gets the "most play". Not expensive at all, but everyone here seems to like the way it plays, sits, etc. It's just an overall fun set on the board. Never gets boring and none of us know why. Go figure
They all are very nice!! How interesting we get attached to a specific set despite having many of them !
D2 I have a very similar set back home. My first wooden chess set that I got as a gift for Christmas. Always a joy to play on! But I'm always afraid that the queen's crown is going to break when someone cross-captures the opponent's queen.

This is a standard German Knight except the Black pieces are ebonized and the board is American green-buff vinyl.
I have nicer sets but this is my knock-around wood set. I'd still be using my old plastic Drueke but it's gotten valuable since Drueke broke all the molds.

and not to many Queens out there that can make this move

D2,
File under: DEEP THOUGHTS.
Apparently, an upsidedown rook can be a queen, but an upsidedown queen can never be a rook!

I like that set. To me, the color combinations of a set and board make a big difference. I like the blend of that set.

Well after reading your guys comments, we decided to keep a fine eye on them during the evening and low and behold we found them like this last night
