This guy [edit mod SB] took two lessons from me and didn't pay.

No naming and shaming in the forums

I'm sorry that this happened to you. I understand the frustration and this may make you lose your trust with people who connect with you for the first time and want to receive some coaching. I can tell you that this is a one-off situation and most people aren't this way!

It's just unfortunate that there had to be somebody out there who would stoop so low as to avail a professional service from somebody else and that not have the willingness to pay. These things do happen.

Well better give 30 mins demo lesson then don't give lesson without charge . Simple. I sent 100 usd to  an IM from Serbia. He took money and never gave lessons. Issue was that he took money in his gf's account so I had no way to get my money.

Hey guys, I hear you when you say it's just one person's word against another, but that's often NOT true.  @50kg, if you could write to us at support@chess.com with what happened to the best of your recollection, and be prepared provide screenshots or forward correspondence with one of my agents.  In any INDIVIDUAL dispute, it's true that we are sometimes unable to act, but sometimes we can.

And if this happens multiple times, well then it's not an individual dispute, and someone is then using our site to commit fraud.  We can DEFINITELY take action then . . . but if not reported, we don't know a pattern of behavior is happening, and again, we can often take immediate action in some cases.

We look forward to getting this report and to making sure our website is a great place for individuals to get and give lessons, and not a place for scamming people!

Fair play. Did not expect chess.com to be interested in such disputes. This has made me a lot more confident using this site. Great to see.

pretty sure 50kg is a scammer himself...if the guy took two lessons and didnt pay, why woudl that matter yet? 50kg's payment plan is based on rating gain it looks like?

Also 50KG I took a look at your students, looks like a large majority of them are cheating. Examples come up where they consistently play 98-99 accuracy games. There was a reddit post about you over the summer and reviewing some of your "students". The consensus came to be that, yes, your students cheat and then review you as a great teacher. Before you say "how is that my fault?", I am not sure...they only pay if they make rating gains...maybe youre advising the cheating?

But who knows I could be wrong and the guy who stiffed you is just a jerk
