You can read a lot of feedback from my coaching services from my students on this forum topic. I'm very grateful to my students for their kind words, I really appreciate every comment.  

Fantastic endgame instructor, Gabor is. He's helped me so much in a small time, I feel quite satisfied with his choice of what level to start me at, and the pace of the material is always just right. He is ready to move on, yet always willing to explore a position, concept, or question at length. His enthusiasm for chess is contageous, I might have caught the gabornavirus... (sorry i HAD TO)

When talking about my experience with Gábor I can not express enough how effective the lessons were, I increased my highest rating by more than 400 points in just a few months! Besides the obvious effectiveness, every concept becomes easy to understand as he provides plenty of examples and explanations in a very simple way. The material he provides is also of the best quality with multiple databases to chose from!

All in all, Gábor is a great teacher and I assure you, it's impossible to not improve with his classes!

Gabor is an amazing coach. He is very patient (even when i make massive blunders) and is always willing to answer any questions and explore positions and openings. The lessoms are very well planned out and always good fun and educational. The tactics and strategies he has shown me have imoroved my chess greatly (none of my friends want to play with me any more because they're sick of losing.)

Gabor is a fantastic coach. I've taken many lessons with him and highly recommend him.

I have been working with Gabor for 3 months now and I started with a rating of 1470. The image above is my rating as of last night, where you can see I have improved over 200 points! Gabor is a great coach, who I would highly recommend to anyone serious about improving their chess - we study all aspects of chess and he replies to my many incessant questions I have about puzzles, games, positions etc. throughout the week as well as in our lessons. Highly recommend!

Let's not talk about the rating points but how much effort @Bgabor91 puts into the lessons... he even has a personal study plan that he makes himself, for you. He is always up for emails, questions, etc. and Gabor always has something to teach, whether it'd be endgames, tactics or positional study. Extremely recommend.

I am a beginner, and have been working with Gabor for the past couple months. During the second month I made sure to follow Gabor's advice very strictly, and my chess.com rating quickly rose from the 800s to ~1050. Gabor has a ton of knowledge, and I highly recommend him as a coach. Be sure to follow his guidance; I wish I had followed it more strictly in my first month :-)

Bottom line up front: Gabor's lessons were worth every penny.  And not only would I recommend him, but after having completed a series of 6 lessons with him, I'm already arranging to schedule another 6.  He is generous with his time, genuinely interested in his students as chess players and as people, and, for english speakers, his english is excellent.  He has an outstanding approach to simplify complex chess concepts and teach them in a way that makes them not only understandable, but usable as well.  Plus, he's already put me on a path to amplify my self-improvement now that the lessons are complete.

Gabor is a polite, and extremely knowledgeable instructor.  He's like a human chess engine -- it's extremely impressive.  I'm looking forward to our next round of lessons!

My time with Gabor was worth every penny. He is not only patient, funny, and intelligent, but makes you more eager to learn and increases your love for chess. As a beginner I started lessons with Gabor while I was rated 700. After only 5 or 6 lessons I am about to pass the 1000 rated mark. Whenever I play I can hear him in the back of my head saying, “mmmm not so good,” or “very good Eli.” I loved my first few lessons with him so much that I couldn’t resist the temptation to meet with him twice a week. If you're seeking a well-priced teacher who truly cares about you and your love for chess, Gabor is definitely the guy you are looking for!

Gabor is a great teacher, his classes are very interesting, adding emphasis on all the aspects you should work on most. I have taken 8-10 classes and improve my strength with his coach. He is a good and dedicated person and works for your chess growth. Very happy with his lessons

Gabor Balazs is easily one of the best chess coaches I’ve ever had the honor of working with.  Over my 10 years of chess experience, I’ve had plenty of coaches, and very few are comparable to Gabor.  He has a great style of teaching, and I’m sure that most of his other students appreciate how much time and effort he puts into his lessons.  Over the past five months that I’ve been working with Gabor, he’s helped me to improve both my rating on chess.com and my understanding of chess as a whole.  He’s always seemed really invested in my progress, and always asks me if I have any questions, games to analyze, or if there are any openings that I’ve encountered since our last session that I’d like to review.  While most coaches seem to stick strictly to a lesson plan, Gabor is adaptable and accommodating to whatever his students need.  On top of his great style of teaching, he’s helped me to improve my chess.com rating by almost 400 points at this point, from 1309 all the way up until my current highest rating, 1643.  Even with my rating improving so much over the last 2 months, I’m still winning more games than I’m losing, and hope to reach 1700 within the next week.  Without the captivating and dynamic teaching that I’ve received from Gabor, 1700 seemed like a pipe dream.  If you’re looking for a chess coach for yourself or for anyone you know, I completely recommend Gabor Balazs as a chess coach and as a friend.
