is chess king a good training app?

Bang for the buck Chess King is hard to beat. Lots of exercises and even a decent DB. A few quirks, but nothing deal breaking. Quest mode even teaches you how to win "won" games by playing (with odds) against the computer. What's not to like?

I'm resurrecting this thread because of Chessable and its acquisition by Play Magnus and Chess24.
ChessKing really had a head start with all the Convekta/ChessOk resources translated to the familiar and accessible "chess trainers" that can be used on computers, smartphones and tablets. Their content was quite extensive, too. More importantly, there are titles that were based on the classic textbooks by Russian trainers/coaches such as Victor Golenishchev, Maxim Blokh and Alexander Panchenko to name a few.
But when Chessable started to convert titles published by Russel Enterprises, New in Chess, Quality Chess and Thinkers Chess, it was hard to ignore the value of being able to quickly absorb the lessons from the new chess books.
