premature attacks on the king

In "Knights are strong defensive pieces!", if you take the attacking knight with your bishop, it gives the impression that this is an illegal move.

I can see that the move is suboptimal but it's not illegal.

Lol this has the makings of a great thread! Which attacking strongly defending knight was suboptimally but thankfully not illegally removed two years ago? Was this the game which Voyage is now (belatedly?) upset about?

PS just seen the forum title under which this was posted ... is Voyage accusing the OP of cheating at Chess Mentor?

Anyone care to add more so the rest of us can follow in context? Thanx!
