Good luck

Best neutral legal analysis of the lawsuit I have seen. Essential viewing.

Let me be quite frank, @GBTGBA. Your comments are typically seen as puerile (look it up if you need to) and poorly reasoned.

[For example, this comment about appearance and likeability. This ain't an Instagram make-up channel].

To get a better understanding of the relevant part of the real, grown-up world, watch the video (I am happy to bet you have not). As I said, it is made from a neutral point of view and contains many relevant facts.

Right - spoilers!

No, it won't. He has had other surprise losses and has behaved just fine. Magnus is not a crybaby; he just has a problem with Hans.

Welp,  at the World Rapid Chamionship going on right now all 3 of them are in the same tournament,  same room!  After 2 days and 9 rounds I don't think any of them have been paired yet.  I'm sure Magnus will forfeit or resign if paired with Hans but that might not happen now since Hans has 5.5/9 and Magnus has 7/9.  But.....  Hikaru also has 5.5 so there's a chance Hans and Hikaru could get paired.  They'll be giving each other the evil eye,  it's gonna be fun to see.  To me, that's the best part of this event,  having all 3 there in the same room potentially getting paired.

And if they aren't paired in the rapid event there seems to be an increased chance they will get paired in the blitz event that follows because it has many more rounds.

I'll be watching.  I'm gonna make some memes from the pictures.

Namamura scored a surprising 2 wins, 11 draws!, 0 losses.

Going undefeated is something in itself but it was still an underperformance for him.

Perhaps a sign he is a bit stale and needs a break from chess.

However, I expect Nakamura to finish better than that in the blitz, he has a keen coffeehouse eye for tactics that serves him well in fast time controls.

Carlsen is being Carlsen, the greatest of all time.

Niemann faded in the rapid.

I agree with you that Carlsen will forfeit if paired against Niemann. Carlsen is so good he can forfeit a round and still win the tournament.

Blitz results

1st Carlsen 16/21

2nd & 3rd Nakamura & Martirosyan 15/21

Niemann had 12

Hans Niemann never got paired with either Carlsen or Nakamura.  I was looking forward to that. Dang.

As long as you are laughing I really don't' care.

The rapid and blitz world championships are among my favorite tournaments to watch. The world cup is probably my favorite. I like that fide grand Swiss tournament too, it has a lot of rounds and it qualifies 2 players for the candidates so there's more than simply prizes involved.  Same with the world cup. Those are my 3 favorites to pay attention to.

I was very curious how Hans would do. Found out but I'm disappointed he never got paired with Magnus or Hikaru.

BlueHen86

He did about as well as could be expected. He's a great player, but not elite,

Carlsen is currently the World Champion in Classical, Rapid, and Blitz ...

And yes, I was hoping to see Hans face Hikaru or Magnus ... just for the newsworthy drama. But I'm certain Carlsen would've just refused to play and forfeited. And Hikaru would've just beaten him. tongue.png

History will remember him as one of the best players to ever play chess.
