5...Bxd3 looks best to me.
1. d3 e5 2. e4 d5 3. f4 - Does this opening have a name?
yea it is like the falkbeer, only mine gets a supporting pawn on d3. in the game, i was looking to push my f-pawn to f5 to open up space on the queenside, but it turned out quite a bit different after he played 3. ... dxe4.
This is an opening I stumbled on in a recent game. 3. f4 is the key move. It worked out pretty well for me and led to a really fun middlegame, but I don't think I've ever seen it before and it doesn't seem like one that's played much.
Anyone know if it has a name? Have you played it before? Are there any major weakness for black to exploit that my opponent and I might have missed?
