I enjoy playing fianchetto openings such as the larsen, modern etc., I wantbto try 1.g3, but I don't enjoy the KIA. are there other openings 1. g3 transposes into that are sound?

This can transpose to a variety of reversed openings such as reversed alekhine, reversed pirc/modern and the reversed benoni. It can also transpose to the english, the reti and the KIA. AFAIK, the move g3 has no independant value.
