what do you think?

Nice way to make things hard on yourself.  Nc3 can't be played, and anything regaining the pawn is going to get attacked by blacks knight and bishop.  Black can still easily play e5 or d5 to strike back in the center.

isnt this like the same as the benko? the point is to open queenside lines and attack? its called like the polish gambit or something

Technically this would be an english wing gambit, and is most similar to the bad although playable sicilian wing gambit.  Except c4 doesn't develop the bishop like e4. I just don't see the logic, black doesn't have a bit of development problems.

A benko is much, much differant.  There is a big differance between a pawn on the fifth rank and a pawn on the second rank.

I would prefer 1e4 c5 2Nf3 d6 3b4......ie use the wing gambit against d6 since black has to play d5 at some point and has lost a tempo.....but no experience to be honest

I don't see this as a good opening for white since black hasn't commited himself to anything, unlike in the wingside gambit of the sicilian... and in your game 10.Ng8 seems better... if you like b4, then you can play it on the first move maybe, or play c4 and wait to play b4 latter on if black's bishop moves to g7.

Not as good as my Bird Wing ^_^

The English Wing looks dubious, but maybe white can play a Benko with colors reversed?  The thing is black hasn't comitted to d4, and subtle details like that matter.

I just played it because I opened with the wrong pawn (usually london or colle). Very interesting game.

Why play 10...Ng4? Makes no sense at all. Why not just 10...Nd5?
