Kings Indian Defence is a good choice v.s. 1.d4, it's a slow maneuvering opening that takes practice to play properly, and has tons of theory, there are many variations but this is the one I play:
My favorite reply to 1.d4 is the Dutch but be warned it's not all that sound...:
Another good opening is the Hedge-hog, it's a bit cramped but solid. I rarely play it but it's in Kasparov's repertoir, so it must be good (lol) :
