7 Qf3+ Qf6 in Fried Liver Attack

Hi,

How do I respond to 7 ..Qf6 in the fried liver attack?  I was thinking capture Knight on d5 with either Queen or Bishop... but I'm not sure.  Qf6 seems like a very strong reply and I'm not sure why it's not the main line of the fried liver.

Full game is: 1. e4 e5  2.  Nf3 Nc6   3.  Bc4 Nf6  4.  Ng5 d5  5.  exd5 Nxd5  6.  Nxf7 Kxf7  7.  Qf3 Qf6

It is a matter of consolation. I prefer 8. Bxd5+ Ke8 9.Bxc6+ bxc6 10.Qe2 Kf7 11.Nc3 Be7 12.Ne4 (12.d3 maybe) Be7 12.Ne4 (Well, why not? Its a uncontested square) Qg6 13.0-0 and so forth. White has a solid position and a pawn plus. Black has fractured pawns but a lead in development for his pawn investment. The question is can Black take advantage of his open lines before White can organise himself.

Of the 272 games I could find, only 63 provided a postive result for black

This game is with the highest rated Black peice player I could find.

I think it is not the main line for a reason

Go Ke6 instead of Qf6. That's what I always get from computer analysis. Then if white plays Nc3 ...just go Nb4.
