I have pulled the data from 100k games of 1600-2500 and processed the data into the below spreadsheet, with the aim of looking at which openings you are likely to encounter.
My results concur with the "recommended openings to learn" of many online sources however I have given a "weight" score to each line, longer lines that occur frequently have more weight as you are more likely to encounter the preceding moves even if they deviate from the line before the end.
The weight % represents the likelihood of you encountering all or part of that line in 1000 games.
This also shows which variations are worth learning and which never get played.
The full data is below but there are "Filter Views" for:
white e4
white d4
black
This shows that with around 10 opening lines for white and black 95% of games.
