I am playing for Team Europe v THE POWER OF CHESS match and the opening is the A57. Please excuse my ignorance but I have been playing chess for 50 yrs and I havent a clue what this opening is. Can somebody please put me out of my agony??

Oh the Benko Gambit. I have never played it as white or black but there are 2227 games in the chessgames.com database and Pal Benko was a great US player so it must be pretty sound. Thank you both.
