I don't play the Accelerated Panov (AP) much myself, but as a Caro-Kann regular, I can tell you that it's a pretty challenging opening to face (And not in the "one-trick opening" way). I included a tl;dr version of my notes here.
Accelerated Panov? Whats the catch?

It actually is a decent line to consider. The point is that white takes twice on d5. If Qxd5, then Nc3 followed by d4 and it's like you are playing a Panov a tempo up.
Normally Nf6 is played. After which, white can continue developing nornally with Nc3 and d4 entering a more normal Panov type position already with an IQP but there are also 2 sidelines. Bb5+ aiming to cling onto the extra d5 pawn which will be a thorn in black's position. Qa4+, this is dubious but tricky.

I think I am gonna give this one a chance. Never cared about keeping whites advantage in Caro lines. I would either go for Advance or Exchange with Bd3 all the times if that were so. This line seems sound enough to me, probably equal.
I want sharp stuff, this is sharp stuff.

Kinda reminds me of Orthoschnapp but its much much more sound than that.
There's a line like that called the Van Weersel Attack but tbh I think it's probably even worse. On the lichess database a lot of people play Bc4 and then black just plays e6.
At least in the Orthoschnapp white has threats against f7.

This just looks so hopeless. Like you pointed out already, in Orthoschnapp at least the gambiteers bishop isn't blunted by e pawn. This one just feels wrong, for so many reasons.
Maining the Panov so far against Caro. I found it even more interesting than Fantasy Caro, and Tal variation you don't tend to get always.
I have just noticed white can go c4 on second move and be alright. Have any of you used Accelerated Panov? Should thought be given into it?
