Excellent stuff. I was given lines for the King's Gambit as Black but I player with a very high rating. In the lines he gave me, you don't accept the gambit as Black. I'm surprised to hear that it is better to accept.

Some months ago I played an exhibition vs several players here on chess.com. Chess engines were allowed by both sides.

I played the black side of the Kings Gambit in all the games.

One game I played for fun 1. e4  e5  2. f4  d5  and it ended in a draw.

There were some games with this line you should look at...

There is nothing wrong with the lines the player with a very high rating gave you. He probably thought you were not ready for the lines where you accept the gambit.

Too lazy to look at each of your diagrams. However, the annotation in the King's Gambit stating that it is not played by top players is not true.

I may have been incorrect. What supergrandmasters play the King's Gambit?

Richard Rapport played it against Michael Adams a couple of days ago.

is Richard Rapport a super grandmaster?

My prediction is that with new theory out, there will be less games at the very top level of chess?
