I play it quite often, but I'm weening off of it right now. Now I love to play against it. I've analyzed the four pawns attack from white perspective to death!

It's a fun open if you like hypermodern type of strategies (ignoring the center and patiently waiting for counter attacks ... waiting your opponent to over extend himself etc..). It often transposes into the advance variation of the french if white responds with 2. Nc3 instead of e5 ( i.e. 1. e4 Nf6 2. Nc3 d5 3. e5 Nfd7 4. d4 c5). Sometimes it kind of turns into a weird Scandinavian type of opening except there is no Knight to harass the queen on c3 (i.e. 1. e4 Nf6 2. Nc3 d5 3. exd Nxd 4.Nxd Qxd).
hi,
just wondering what you guys think of this opening....is it pretty solid?do any of you play it with any regularity?
