It is still an interesting idea, since a lot of people play Nf6 in the English allowing b4 as the second move.

Hello. I play the English pretty much exclusively. I have read that one transpositional opportunity is to either open with 1. b4 (the polish) and eventually push to c4 to transpose back into the English, or, alternatively, to open 1.c4, and eventually push to b3 to transpose into the Polish.
Anyone ever tried this? Anyone play the Polish at all? It looks screwey, is it worth messing with?
