Hello everybody. I'm rated about 1800 and I've recently gotten readdicted to chess after taking a two year long hiatus. I've been searching around amazon for a decent opening book. I'm looking for an opening book that has all of the sane openings that usually occur. I'm looking for a book that has around fourty or fifty openings with in-dept analysis on what lines to play depending on your opponent's responses. Any recommendations? And oh yeah, I also prefer algebraic notation. I've heard that Nunn's Chess Openings and Modern Openings are decent, but the reader comments don't satisfy me. Is there another opening single-volume opening book that's absolutely amazing, or is Nunn's Chess Openings/Modern Openings the best there is? And if the latter is the case, which one would you recommend? Thanks.
