Any suggestions on how to play for black after 1. e4 d5 2. Qf3

2...de4 3. Qxe4 Nf6 Qf3, now what?

Its actually kind of tricky. I don't think black is doing badly, but there are some tricks.

You're not supposed to get advice on current games from the forums....

I dont think its a current game. None of his games are under 11 moves, besides, most people know that.

It's clearly not as good as 2. exd5. It's not going to make white lose right away (unless you're playing a 2600 who can use the extra tempi against you) but why play an inferior move when the best is so much simpler?

Anyway, from the given position 1. e4 d5 2. Qf3... This was a G/60 game, Rybka 2 vs. Rybka 2

Well, I don't see anything good for white after:

1 e4, d5 2 Qf3, dxe4 3 Qxe4, Nf6

White will move his Queen again, making 3 Queen-moves out of 4 moves altogether.

Black could next move e6 (calm, but perhaps too calm) or could go with Nc6 with the hope of getting the e-pawn out to e5.

White's first-move advantage is gone, and Black has gained the initiative, so as long as Black doesn't screw it up he/she should be fine.

I'd say that after 1. e4 d5 2. Qf3 dxe5 3. Qxe5 Nf6, Black is equal already because he has wrested the initative from White. Not necessarily better, just equal.

It wouldn't be practical to give lines for something as non-book as the Scandinavian, the normal Scandinavian development scheme would work probably, or any reasonable development.
