It looks to me of Black played very poorly in an unfamiliar position... Just goes to show you need opening "ideas", not just theory. I would have played 12...fxe5, without any hesitation. And Black would have the advantage.
The queen's bishop is already bad enough in the French! Sticking it right behind that pawn chain is like salt in the wound, in my opinion!
Well, it has worked for me up to the B class level, although I think I might be shifting from 6.b3 to 6.Be2 as you said Anthony.
