1.a4 with white, 1...h5 with black.
It will force your opponent to think, and thinking in bullet makes you lose.

1.d4 2.bg5
so many 1..d5 2..e6 premovers lol
a 3 min on ICC against a 2300 went 1.d4 d5 2.bg5 e6 3.bxd8 1-0 lol.
It was when i just started and my rating went up to like 2100.
just play an opening that you can premove the first 3-4 moves. e.g. as black play the pirc, premove d6, g6, c6, Bg7.
The Hammerschlag 1.f3 2.Kf2 is pretty effective on bullet chess You can get away with premoving the 5-6 first moves (I normally go with g3, e3, Ne2 and Bg2) and gain an edge on the clock.
For black the BenOni and the French or the Aljechin. All openings which create imbalances and if you are at home in those openings you might have the advantage. I think creating imbalances is good in bullet chess.
Lately I have encountered b4 and I have to say that I had a hard time. There was a thread about this opening lately and I had the impression that the opening would give black a certain advantage. Hmm, might be, but not that easy to find for me in that short period of time. I lost.
Someone played f3 and c3 as an opening. That became a very closed position. I was always behind in time (he could have premoved his first 10 moves maybe), and then is it very hard to come back in the game having no opening in the position. First game I lost, second I won (he played c6 f6), third game I don't know anymore. That imbalance becomes too predictable and will in the long run not help imo.
How about the stonewall? Not the actual opening. This one. :)
You always know what you're next move will be, so you don't waste time. (I don't actually do this unless I'm just playing for fun)
Larsen's opening or King's indian attack. They have the same pros that you guys mentioned - one is able to play them really quickly almost premoving all the moves, whilst also not getting a completely worse position, which is indeed happening in suggestions you guys made - The retarded stonewall and such ( don't mean to offend anyone, it just looks that way, who can argue against that)
@DeliciousDurian
This opening with f3, Nh3 and Nf2 might look shitty to someone, but I agree with you. I remember having a really hard time playing against these. It is easy for white to construct an attack and most often black is not used to it.
personnally i play the same opening in bullet than on long games...
Just play what u know and like, whatever the time control.
Ridiculous to play 1.h4 or other things like this...
If u win with 1.f3, u can be sure u could win easier with 1.e4, 1.d4 or something "standard".
1.a3 is a stumper to some people and if they respond ...E5 you can wind up with a closed Sicilian with colors reversed.
if you wanna premove safely the first set of moves just go into either a reti or benko/modern opening and just fianchetto with the normal night setup and do the same on both sides if you really wanna flag your opponent down. but i recommend just playing normally and ensuring each move you make is only 1-2 seconds long and if your stronger you will end up obtaining a winning position anyways. Don't rush all the time, actually play chess lol.
Edit: Look into the hippo opening if you really want to play safe. it's just a double fianchetto with both knights developing inwards behind e6/d6 or e3/d3. keeps all your pieces passive and on or behind the second rank.
Which is the best bullet opening?
