Best chess books on d4?

More Basic Chess Openings by Gabor Kallai is an old book but will supply your openings needs.

@OP When your ratings is 1600 elo Fide up already, I suggest Fritz Power Books.

(Last century, with not much in the way of sample games.)

Maybe consider The Kaufman Repertoire for Black & White by GM Larry Kaufman (2012).
