i TRIED the danish years ago... didn't like it at all. king's gambit is old and trusted and makes more sense to me than the positional subtleties of the danish.
i just read a mention of it in my open games as black book, i think, where the author states that it looks unsound, but is really dangerous against moves that look correct to black but aren't.
You saw my posts about beginner openings? Now it's time for part 2. Try this if your ELO is 1K-1,5K.
1. Danish Gambit
Looks like some random sacrifices? Well, this is something made to destroy an opponent who likes to capture everything. This can be countered pretty easily, so don't try using that on advanced opponents. But if you decide to play it on a >1K, you better come fully prepared. Now, the Accepted Line is 3. ... dxc3 4. Bc4!? cxb2 5. Bxb2. And now look at those bishops contolling the a1-h8 and a2 - g8 diagonals! But from that point, you better activate a chess engine to find some good lines, like this:
d5 is a common defense, but Black's move after bishop capturing should involve the g8 knight. Then, if the queen gets captured, you just check White's king with a bishop and recapture(discovered attack on White's queen).
I like this one, but be aware of some defenses like 5. ... Bb4+(Copenhagen Defense).
2. King's Gambit
E pawns go out, and then, AOAS, comes something unexpected. If you play this, be aware of all Black's kingside attacks, and especially your open e1-h4 diagonal, so you better have a good reason when pushing the f pawn forward! Try out these traps for both sides: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xafwJ0P-jaI
One more thing: if you master this opening, you will be able to fight anyone, because it is played by 1K-15K, 1,5K-2K, CM's, NM's, IM's and even GM's! So come prepared!
3. Ponziani Opening
Another uncommon opening, full of fishy little traps for both sides. If you decide to play this line, you should learn how to detect and avoid common blunders first. If you play as Black, you might want to play 3. ... d5, because White's idea is usually grabbing the center by 4. d4.
And here go the traps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yO873x_G9w
More lines for Black coming soon?
