Best responses to g3 or b3 openings?

A couple of my latest games have had the opponent open with either g3 or b3 as white.

What is the best series of moves to deal with this start? I always move the center pawn forward that will block their diagonal and then either bring out the knight to defend my pawn or move a supporting pawn in to cover.

Are there better defenses to this opening? I find myself playing extra slow against these openings because I'm not sure of what to be aiming for.

Grab some center with d5.

If they do b3 then I do move d5. If they do g3 then I move e5 followed by moving whichever knight can defend the pawn I moved.

I guess I'm really looking for where to people take the game from there?
