Bongcloud Repertoire

I was wondering if you could make a repertoire based on the Bongcloud.  Many black players would resign in fear.  Are there any other good king march openings?

1.e4 e5 2.Ke2!

Any other suggestions?

This could be groundbreaking!

There is the Bongcloud Zigzag Attack 1 d4 ... 2 Kd2! ... Ke3!!

I have been experimenting with the Bongcloud Wing Attack: 1 f4 2 Kf2! with some success.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall a famed Grandmaster who invented a radical new opening called the Sicilian Magic Dragon which supposedly goes 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Qa5 3.d4 Kd8!? I realize this takes a lot longer than the normal Bongcloud  but the idea is to move the king alog the d8-a4 diagonal and eventually gambit the c5 pawn to gain central space for the king where it excells. History proves the King and Queen are the most powerful figures and work even better when they work together! And since life and chess are the same thing, I think we have an opening here. Of course, 1.e4 c5 2.Ke2!! was a recent discovery and lets White retain the initiative. I am currently running the position on Microsoft Paint to check for the correct continuation, but until then would anyone like to test this opening?

I love to use the Bongcloud against Sicilian players. They think they've got theory...

I didn't know that Paint did chess analysis... but I hear ya dued.

Wasn't it Steinitz or Korchnoi or some kick-ass dude who said the king is a strong piece? Right? I'll look it up.

This is all old stuff, Steinitz played one of the oldest bongcloud variations, and he did so succesfully against the strongest players of his time.

The king is a fighting piece! He said, as ivandh above me pointed out.

You use paint for chess analysis?!  That's crazy!  Surely you must use windows media player to see the way.  Check out the spinning deuds!

My classical favourite... the Boungcloud reacharound.

1. g3 Bh3 Kf1 Kg2 Kf3

Alright I have two Bongcloud games up: 1 regular and 1 Chess 960. Has anyone ever applied the Bongcloud to Chess 960?

ivandh

^ Exactly, this is proof that the best move is Ke2!

Actually, Ke2 was partially forced. g3 runs into fxg3 and Kd2 runs into Qf2+.

The moves leading up to the check and Ke2 was hardly forced, there is a reason why no other top players has even touched this variation with a stick.
