Could anyone tell me what to play against the Budapest Gambit which gives me the best result...

That depends on what type of positions you like to play.

If I was facing the Budapest as White I'd use the Rubinstein Nbd2 variation. An additional reason to play the Rubinstein as I see it is that 4...g5 has gotten popular because Jobava played it in a few games.

I play the "Alekhine" version. It basically controls the center while black tries to get the pawn back, and white gets a good position.

Taylor wrote that the Alekhine Attack was the best option against the Budapest in his book.

He recommended Black play 4...h5 which I've started playing and enjoy much more than 4...Nxe5.

Here's a game where Rudolph Spielmann beats Max Euwe using that variation as Black. http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1006834

Just YouTube "Chess Club Budapest Gambit Akobian", he gives good advice and the trap to look out for. Akobian's the only one I really listen to out of all them lot at that chess club.

You can read a sample of the book on Amazon, and part of the free sample covers a few games with the Alekhine Attack.

2.Nf3 is annoying to alot of Budapest players so that could be a safe way to play and transpose to some other c4 line on the next move. But if you are of the opinion that 2.c4 e5 deserves to be punished then some of the above replies are good way to go about it.
