Chess traps and quick checkmates Trap #1 Budapest Gambit#1
Nycalatop: white can save his bishop with either d4 and f4. I instantly thought of d4 but the computer prefer f4. White will still be in trouble though.

Here's my collection of traps/trap openings that lead to playable positions, even if failed. Note to OP: learn from ideas in each trap opening, perhaps practice your tactics/middlegame with them for a short while, but ultimately you should switch to playing something solid and sound.

Your trap is against budapest gambit trap) By the way I know many traps and they are not always so useful they often for live chess. However many people fell into them in turn based games.

I'd like to stress that it's a bad idea to use the traps yourself, once you understand how they work because traps only work when opponents blunder. Relying on others' inability is much less effective than relying on your own ability. I only recommend using the trap enough times to recognize what not to fall for, and to know how to take advantage of a winning tactic or combination when one exists. For instance, the fishing pole shows you that an h3 or h6 "kick" can be deadly if one side delayed castling. Other traps show how material sacrifice can be converted to space and developmental advantage.

If you're playing against a weak opponent, you shouldn't need to try anything but normal chess to win.

Chess requires taking advantage of the mistakes of the rival. If you want to be a really good chess player you should do it.

I wish there was a way to quickly find out how many times Legall's mate has been posted in the forums. I'm guessing dozens. Here's the other one that was popular today:
