Defending the early queen advance

I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times before, but how do I properly defend against 2. Qh5 as black? In this game I definitely messed up later on, but perhaps there were earlier moves that a good opponent would exploit? What is the correct sequence here if after defending the king pawn the opponent brings out his bishop to try to get the quick mate?

i dont like g6 , e5 d6 , and nf6 you can attack Q and preparing to casle . i like move my pieses and attack early Q with TEMPO. it is human theory ;)

Simply kick away the queen with Nf6.
If you want to improve, try to work on two things : not letting stuff hanging, and developing your pieces quickly.

Qh5 is quite bad in that position. It's just one threat (Qxe5) and once black defends that the queen will be badly placed on h5. The trick is not to worry about the queen too much but just concentrate on normal development and chances are you will end up with a development advantage and a superior game.

In the actual game you did fine enough and were better until you messed up but I suppose there were even better options along the way.

You could play 3... Nf6 directly. 3... g6 turned out to be wasted move since you developped your bishop along f8-a3 diagonal.

7... Be7 moving already developped piece second time wasn't really necessary since white was not actually threatening anything (The queen is his only developped piece!). For example 7... 0-0 was ok.

8... e4 was very strong.

Also, at move 9. ... e4 wins.  If white tries to move his knight, then 10. ... Bf8 wins the queen.

Thanks for the tips, Shakaali, gotta have that superior vision to entrap the queen like this though:)

2.Qh5 is a bit rubbish, defend the e5 pawn and after Nf6 the queen has to move away and you gain time. Mind you, I think Woody Harrelson once drew a game with Kasparov using 2.Qh5 (no joke). If anyone can find it and post that be cool.

Now queen early its sound like the dumbest thing that people had ever done in their life, and there is a plenty of way to punish your opponent for making this such a stupid opening and you can watch the gothamchess video of how to punish queen early attack

@AngeloPardi Could you build on what you are saying? When playing against Nelson, I always start with Nf6, however, if you could explain "not letting stuff hang" and "developing your pieces quickly," that would be great.
