Defense Against 1.c4

Sure you can play f5, but it could turn into an Anglo-Dutch type of position. The example you gave is not English at all, but a Kings Indian 4 pawns attack, in which black made no attempt to attack the centre. Now if you get into a Dutch without d4 from white it's just slightly different, since the central tensions are lacking. Black can simply occupy the centre, and not so much go for kingside attack.
Typically, the English is with 1.c4 If white adds d4 and/or e4 it transposes into other openings usually. An exception is 1.c4 e5 which is still called the English, even after d4. You can see it's a lot like a reversed Sicilian now, but usually it's closed as black misses a tempo.

I don't understand why u don't play 1...f5 if u play Dutch...
Always think that 1.c4 can tranpose into 1.d4 openings, so just try to play the sameway than your 1.d4 defence's pet line.
There are no issues with 1.c4 f5 move order.
Why playing 1.c4 g6?
It is ok if u play dutch Leningrand following with f5 next move, but u didn't play f5 in the game u gave above and it transposed into a KI...

I don't understand why you talk to the dead! (Note the circle-slash next to the OP's handle - account is closed.)

IM John Donaldson referred to spending "several hundred hours mastering this material".

"... There are many explanations in terms of evaluations, strategical ideas, and so on, which makes the book accessible to a wider audience. Me, but more importantly Hikaru Nakamura and Magnus Carlsen

Me, but more importantly Hikaru Nakamura and Magnus Carlsen
Naka was playing it with a little frequency, but that was years ago. Now he's more in line with other top players i.e. boring QGD draws.
Carlsen played it a few times. As a surprise weapon I guess it's fine, but AFAIK it couldn't survive as a main weapon at the GM level much less top 10 level... maybe I don't give it quite enough credit.

There are 3 main lines for 1. c4 : -e5 the most popular 2. Nc3 Nf3 (...Nc6 closed, a good response is g3 or just Nf3) 3. Nf3 Nc6 (Four Knights) i like play 4. e4 (vers. Nimzovitch) Bb4 (Bc5 5. Nxe5!) or just a fianchetto -c5 there are good things like 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.g3 b6! 4.Bg2 Bb7 5. 0-0 e6 6. Nc3 Be7 7. d4 cxd4 8. Qxd4 d6 -Nf6 2.Nc3 e6 3. e4 d5 4. e5 d4? It's very large and you need to see what is a good position for your style.

There are more than 3 main lines against 1.c4. Black has various options after 1...Nf6
